The ink on our virtual pens may have only just dried from MWC Shanghai and Americas speaker submissions, but no rest for the weary: the call for papers for MWC Barcelona 2018 is now open (and closes on September 27th).
Before you begin the submission process, it’s worth noting that there’s been a couple of changes to the format. Rather than the historically long abstract, submissions should now stick to a brief overview with a strict 200-word limit!
I’m sure there’s many a PR (both in-house and agency) punching the air in sheer joy at the prospect of a sharper, less wordy proposal. But while it’s not exactly rocket science for the seasoned MWC PR-pro, the challenge now will be to deliver a compelling and succinct narrative in a few paragraphs.
As with every year, the team at the GSMA has highlighted a plethora of topics that will be addressed at the show - from AI, Big Data and Analytics, to Industrial/Consumer IoT and Next Generation Networks (5G, LP WAN, etc). But they are also open to new themes, ideas and areas which you believe would be of interest to attendees.
And a word of advice directly from the GSMA, ‘partnerships, especially with end-users, will increase your chances of being included in the MWC 2018 agenda’.
Last year we supported 10 clients at Mobile World Congress, securing 8 speaker slots on stage, and we’re looking forward to having some fun with the new format. So, if you are looking for support with your submission, the Telecoms PR team is on hand to help. Just drop us a line at email@example.com.
Good luck and we're looking forward to hearing from you.
