New year, new leadership structure

It’s fair to say this is one of the hardest Januarys I’ve ever experienced, but we’ve had some super exciting news in the CCgroup camp! We’ve promoted Daniel Lowther and Katie de Cozar to the board. These are two of the most talented, lovely PR people I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. I can’t imagine two human beings I’d rather debate strategy with around the boardroom table.

Dan’s been with CCgroup for an incredible 15 years and now runs our rather awesome Fintech division. He’s also been responsible for developing a range of new services in the last 18 months, helping us make good on our ambition to be a PR and marketing consultancy.

When forced to say something about his promotion Dan said:

“This is actually pretty cool. I mean, I’d rather be able to go outside more than once a day, maybe go out for dinner and pop along to a networking event, but I guess a promotion to Director will suffice for now. Thanks.”

The fabulous Katie joined us in late 2017 and runs our Enterprise Tech division. She came on board the CCgroup ship after a 21-year B2B tech career run, which included in-house and agency roles. Katie manages CCgroup’s talent strategy and has been putting a big focus on mental health and diversity, which has been recognised in a few of our 2020 awards.

When asked, Katie said:

“You do realise it’s the beginning of end for CCgroup’s male-dominated executive team, right? Oh, and thank you.”

In true appointment press release parlance I’m obviously ‘delighted’ and ‘excited’ in equal measure and ‘look forward to working with Dan and Katie as we take the tech PR world by storm’.

In all seriousness, it’s just a treat to work with such genuine, supportive and curious professionals. Congratulations to Dan and Katie, you guys rock.
